Southern Inyo Hospital has four acute care beds for care and monitoring of moderately ill patients. Physician service is provided by on-call physicians, and the recent upgrades in laboratory and radiological services have allowed more patients to stay longer, rather than being transferred to out-of-town hospitals far from the comforts of home and family.
